About Vireya

Vireya Jiu Jitsu is an education and community platform that helps women train safer, smarter, and longer. It brings together practical tools for gym culture, boundaries, recovery, confidence, and safer training — while also supporting the coaches, gym owners, and training partners working to build healthier mat culture.

The conversation around women in jiu-jitsu has been too quiet for too long, and available resources have not kept pace with women's growing presence on the mat. From boundary setting and coed rolling dynamics to recovery science, body intelligence, and gym culture, Vireya covers the topics that matter but rarely get taught openly.

Whether you are a white belt stepping onto the mat for the first time, a seasoned competitor processing the emotional complexity of the sport, or a gym owner looking to build a more inclusive and accountable training environment, Vireya was built with you in mind.

Vireya is created and maintained by a practitioner who has lived these experiences firsthand. Every article, guide, and resource on this platform comes from a place of genuine investment in making jiu jitsu safer, healthier, and more sustainable for women at every level. This is not a corporate project — it is a labor of love, built mat side, for the community.

We believe that when women thrive on the mat, the entire culture of jiu jitsu improves. That is the standard we are working toward.
